New song available for download, "Morningside"

Don Peris has recorded and uploaded a new instrumental mic check called "Morningside". The song was posted to both his personal Facebook page as well as the Innocence Mission page. It remains to be seen where this song will end up on an upcoming Innocence Mission release or another solo album, or as an unreleased demo. Stay tuned.

"The Chameleon Club" Documentary

THE CHAMELEON CLUB a film by Allen Clements will be showing as part of an evening which celebrates Lancaster, Local Music, and the fabulous art institution, The Chameleon Club. The event will take place on Friday, January 13, 2012.

The film will also feature an interview with Innocence Mission bassist, Mike Bitts.

Dream For An Insomniac

If you've never seen the film Dream For An Insomniac, now's your chance for free. Crackle is hosting the 1998 film on their website here. The Innocence Mission's song "Keeping Awake" appears at 18 minutes and 37 seconds into the film.

New release from Don Peris & David Schelzel

David Schelzel (The Ocean Blue) and Don Peris have recorded a new Christmas demo, "Walking In The Air" and is available in our downloads section.

In 2005, the duo recorded "O Holy Night" and years later in 2010 they recorded "The Angel Gabriel From Heaven Came".

New Christmas recordings

The Innocence Mission have released two new Christmas recordings as well as all of their previous Christmas demos in what now will be known as an EP called, Seven Christmas Songs. The first track is "See Amid the Winter's Snow" and the second, is "O Come, O Come Emmanuel". "O Lord Of Light" also appears on their EP, Christ Is My Hope. These are available in our downloads section

Grey's Anatomy feature's "Rain"

The latest airing of Grey's Anatomy "Take The Lead" (9/29/11) ends with the episode with a shortened version of "Rain (Setting Out In The Leaf Boat)". You can view the entire episode at Hulu.

When I first learned of the AHA video, I was under the impression it was never released because to my knowledge it had never aired on MTV unlike all of the other videos. It may or may not have aired locally or nationally, however it was distributed. Today, I purchased a copy of Alternavision #21 from Concrete Corner Marketing, which so far to my knowledge, is the only released version of the video.

Four compilations added

Four new compilations have been added to the discography. First are two releases from 2008, Women Voices III which includes "Moon River" and The Very Best of Easy Listening Hits (Volume 2) which includes The Innocence Mission's rendition of "Edelweiss". Also added are two 2001 releases Makea Jazz which sports two tracks, "Mile-Marker" and their version of "Over The Rainbow". And finally, "Happy Birthday" appears on on Happy Birthday Bob which was found on a compilation CD in a recent issue of Uncut Magazine
