Super Genius photos added to the gallery

Tim Kwiat's old Super Genius web page has vanished from the internet, along with all of the photos. You can see them again in our Super Genius gallery.

For those that may not be familiar with Super Genius, it's a project that formed in the early 90's with Innocence Mission band members, Steve Brown and Mike Bitts with guitarist and singer Tim Kwiat. Their album, Painting In the Rain, was released in 1995.

Karen & Don release two new live Innocence Mission videos

Two new live videos from the duo of Karen and Don Peris have been uploaded to Youtube this week. The two Innocence Mission songs are: "Where Does The Time Go?" and "I Haven't Seen This Day Before". Bassist Mike Bitts does not perform in either of the videos.

2013 Semi-Annual Fundraiser

You may have noticed here on the main news page that there's a Paypal link. Anyway, it's not free running a website like this and because this is not a commercial site and we are not paid for the Innocence Mission related ads you may see, so I'm not making a dime.

But with the cost of webhosting and software upgrades, we're dependent on either my pocketbook or yours to keep this site running. So with that in mind...here's how you can help out.

For the Top donation received (of $10 or more) by October 31st, I'll send a free "Today" promotional CD courtesy of WhatAreRecords.com.

This particular CD was a promotional item that was handed out at various concerts at the time when Small Planes was released is no longer available, and you probably won't find these on Ebay very often.

Click the donate icon below to read the disclaimer and find out how you can donate to Imdiscog.com and also see the operational costs for the last several years.

Pedrick, Bitts and Walker release "Three"

Innocence Mission bassist, Mike Bitts, announced today a new jazz improvisation album that can be purchased and downloaded at bandcamp.com.

"Three is the result of an experiment to create a live and unrehearsed single work of collective improvisation that remains accessible on multiple levels for the listener. The unifying concept of the project relies on a framework of designated meters, tempos and sonorities based upon the number three. This framework is at once intended to provide continuity and facilitate a free exchange of ideas between three musicians with equal roles. Each selection on this recording is a first take whose beginning, middle and end was unknown at the outset."

The album was recorded by Dave Pedrick (guitar), Mike Bitts (bass) and Aaron Walker (drums).
